Hector Pothier

Hector Pothier (born June 12, 1954 in St. Catharines, Ontario) is a former professional Canadian football player with the Canadian Football League's Edmonton Eskimos. After playing college football at McGill University and at St. Mary's University (Halifax),〔(CFL Alumni Association )〕 Pothier spent his entire 12 year CFL career as an offensive lineman. He was named CFL All-Star 2 times〔(Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation )〕 and was a part of six Grey Cup championship teams with the Eskimos.〔
In 1987 Pothier appeared on Edmonton Television station CFRN-DT's show Day by Day, in a cooking segment with host Terry Lynne Meyer.
Pothier is the uncle of Dan Pothier, a Saskatoon gambler, who has won over $10,000 in his gambling career. In 2014, Dan was murdered over an unpaid gambling debt. The debt totaled just over $1400.
